Some years ago, I had the chance to follow an introduction to pinhole photography given by Christine Felten. Maybe you heard about the Caravana obscura, a pinhole caravan, she created with Véronique Massinger.

What most impressed me during this week was the way Christine feels things.
No complex theory or technique, just the bare minimum to make the pinhole, that's all, a return to the root of photography.
You can find an interview of Véronique Massinger & Christine Felten here (in Italian)

My first pinhole camera was made of a box of ovomaltine, interior painted in black,
the pinhole was an aluminum sheet pierced with a pinhead, its size was measured with an enlarger.

This camera uses photographic paper as a negative, after each photo, you had to go in a dark room, develop your negative and put a new one in place.
Here's two photos taken during that week, an auto-portrait & the negative of a portrait.
